Kevin Martin is the photo editor at the San Antonio Express-News. Relatively new to the state of Texas, Martin primarily deals with assignment and picture editing. He enjoys thorough communication in the newsroom and workflow. Previously Martin was a photo editor at The Advocate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a staff photographer at The Augusta Chronicle in Georgia.

Martin has covered the Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, Masters Golf Tournament, BCS National Championship, Men's and Women's Final Four and the NBA playoffs.

He holds a master's degree in photography from The School of Visual Communication at Ohio University and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Eastern Kentucky University. He is also an Associated Press Photo Managers board member and a former NPPA regional director and executive committee member.

Martin also enjoys Kentucky bourbon.
