Ruby Wallau is a senior picture desk editor at Getty Images where she is responsible for editing thousands of images on a nightly basis as well as communicating with photographers across the globe.

Ruby grew up traveling between family in Maui, Hawaii, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. She fell in love with photo editing while serving as the managing photo editor of The Michigan Daily during her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Prior to working for Getty Images, she worked as a staff photographer for Northeastern University, a photojournalist for the MetroWest Daily News and an interim photo editor for STAT News in Boston, Massachusetts.

She currently lives in San Luis Obispo, California, with her husband and a black lab named Argos. She can frequently be found working in the greater San Francisco or Los Angeles area.
