Selection of Applicants

Participants of The Kalish are selected for their diverse levels of experience in picture editing, video editing, design, management and leadership. Scholarships are available as part of the application process below.

Note: The Kalish focuses on storytelling through visual judgment, not use of technology. However, you should have basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere, InDesign and Photo Mechanic.

Be sure to let us know if your attendance is incumbent upon receiving a scholarship.

NOTE: The application deadline is 11:59pm EST on March 1, 2026. The Kalish tuition is $899. Your application requires a $100 deposit due once you have successfully submitted your application. See the payment page for details. Notification of workshop acceptance will be made via email by April 1, 2026. Deposits will be refunded for those who will not be attending the workshop. The tuition balance for 2026 participants is due by April 15, 2026. Participants will need to select their housing option on the payment page. The housing payment is due by May 1, 2026.
