Danny Gawlowski

Danny Gawlowski is the Senior Manager of Communication and Policy for The Carbon to Sea Initiative, a non-profit effort to evaluate ocean-based climate solutions.

He previously worked as a senior leader of The Seattle Times, specializing in visual and digital journalism. His work as an editor and a journalist has been recognized with two staff Pulitzer Prizes, a national Emmy Award, an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award, two national Edward R. Murrow Awards, the Gannett Foundation Award for Innovation in Watchdog Journalism and a Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. His work has spanned a broad spectrum of topics – from ocean acidification to deadly medical practices to family homelessness – that helped inform communities, changed public policies and saved lives.

Danny lives in Seattle with his amazing wife, Josie, and their children.
