Dr. Aimee Edmondson

Dr. Aimee Edmondson is the associate dean of the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

She has taught reporting and data journalism for 15 years using the techniques of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) and has lead workshops for journalists and journalism educators across the globe.

She brings a dozen years of investigative reporting experience to her research, which focuses on First Amendment law. Her book, In Sullivan’s Shadow: The Use and Abuse of Libel Law during the Long Civil Rights Struggle, was published by the University of Massachusetts Press.
