Emily Steinberger

Emily Steinberger (she/her) is an assistant photo editor at Fortune in New York City. She earned a B.S. in photojournalism and management from Syracuse University in 2023, and while in college, she worked at Syracuse's independent, student-run publication, The Daily Orange, as photo editor and later editor-in-chief. After graduating, Emily worked as a social media coordinator for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and then interned on the photo desk of The San Francisco Standard. Most recently, she freelanced for publications including AP, The San Francisco Chronicle and CalMatters. Her work has been recognized by the World Photography Organisation, Photo Lucida, the International Photography Awards and Pictures of the Year International, and she attended the Chico Review last year to work on her photobook, "L'dor V'dor: From Generation to Generation."
