MaKayla Hart

MaKayla Hart recently joined the Associated Press as a photo assistant on the Global Photo Desk in Los Angeles. She previously interned with the photo editing staff at the Minnesota Star Tribune where she had many opportunities to try on the various hats photo editors can wear. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in photojournalism and sociology.

Outside of work, MaKayla loves to cook, travel, and read (right now she's working on Junie by Erin Crosby Eckstine). She's recently been doing a lot of camping and is finally getting around to experimenting with an ever-growing collection of film cameras
