Photographer & Photo Editor

Oliver Farshi is a British photographer and photo editor based in New York. His work features people in moments of intense transition and revelation.

Oliver’s photography has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The LA Times, The Boston Globe, New York Magazine, The New Republic, People Magazine, and Forbes amongst others. He is winner of CPOY's Gold Award for Best Documentary Project and World Press Photo 2025. His work has been exhibited in New York at the International Center Of Photography, Photoville, Baxter St, and at Visa Pour l’Image. He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography’s Documentary Practice & Visual Journalism program.

In his photographic practice, Oliver moves in otherwise unseen spaces, documenting the deeply personal. This can be seen in A Place To Die, which follows his time at a house terminally ill people visit to take a life-ending medication, and The One Who Got Away, which connects each person portrayed through the loss of a loved one in their life.

Ultimately Oliver's work reveals moments of vulnerability that are familiar yet rarely seen.
