Kristen McNicholas

Kristen McNicholas is a photo editor, educator, and independent visual consultant who is currently a Photo Editor at Eater, after working as a Visiting Lecturer in the Photography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology. As an instructor at RIT, she taught courses across multiple disciplines including photojournalism, visual media, and photo science. Previously, she’s worked at Newsweek across print and digital platforms, Discovery Communications on the Photo Services desk, National Geographic with the Your Shot photo community, United Press International, Education Week, and the White House Photo Office. In her spare time, she can be found working through her reading list or a puzzle, visiting antique shops, perfecting her snickerdoodle recipe, and watching TV with her spouse and 4 pets.
