Naiyelis Ortiz-Torres

Naiyelis is a second year photojournalism student interested in culture, history, sports and politics. She’s a 2023 Washington Journalism and Media Conference Alum, she has participated in the Special Olympics New York media coverage with RIT (2025/2026), her piece “El Pastel” is in RIT’s 2025 Honor Show, and her multimedia piece “Mi Cultura” is in the 2026 Honor Show. She also plays the trumpet and is a dancer. She is excited to volunteer with the Kalish 2026!
