Riley Hayden

I'm Riley Hayden, a fourth-year photojournalism student at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I am currently based in Rochester, but occasionally I am in Dallas and Tulsa. I worked as the sole photographer and photo editor at Long Lake Camp for the Arts during their 2021 summer sessions. I edited and uploaded over 11,000 photos to the Long Lake Camp website. I documented numerous events such as rock concerts and theater performances, as well as, day-to-day camper life. I have learned in a professional environment what it takes to tell stories and how to craft visual narratives across a longer period of time. I am drawn to the moments within moments and emotions beyond the face. When documenting I tend to focus on the in-between and slower moments, even within fast paced events. This summer I will be working at Kindness.org as their Multimedia Intern.
