Kalish faculty Kyndell Harkness and Kevin Martin worked remotely, yet together, as picture editors at the Star Tribune during the unrest after the death of George Floyd. Kyndell is now in a pivotal role as the first assistant managing editor for diversity and community at the paper. She also won picture editor of the year in the NPPA’s Best of Photojournalism. Kyndell and Kevin will discuss their coverage, part of the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news reporting from Minneapolis.

 

Kalish faculty member Danese Kenon, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, will moderate the discussion. Kalish director Sue Morrow will introduce the session.
